The Bid Goes On
Mecum does not sell all the cars on the auction block. This often happens due to bidding falls short of sellers reserve. There are many reasons for this, but its often the seller didn’t lower his reserve to the bid. Even though the car did not sell on the auction block, the car is still for sale and a deal can be made. Mecum Auctions has “The Bid Goes On” desk staffed by a dedicated team that specifically deals with the unsold cars, providing a great service at the auction. This presents an opportunity to negotiate on a car that has already crossed the block and has not sold. In this situation, we can negotiate all aspects of the deal with Mecum’s dedicated staff. As your authorized bidder, we can present an offer and negotiate the purchase of a car, often at favorable terms.
