The month of August brings us the Monterey Car Week. The Monterey Auctions in 2017 collectively make up the largest and most significant collector car event in North America, and quite possibly the world. For the collector car marketplace, this week represents the high water mark for the best auction houses, selling the most significant vehicles, in the best venue in the world. All closely monitor the results of these auctions.
I will be performing inspection services at RM Sotheby’s, Gooding & Co., Bonhams, Mecum, and Russo & Steele for bidders as well as market analysis. I will be available to perform inspections on any of the vehicle at the auctions, but will also be attending many of the events. I will also try and attend the shows at The Quail Lodge , Concorso Italiano, Pebble Beach Concours, Legends of the Autobahn, Werks Reunion, and anything else I can fit in.

RM Sotheby’s Monterey
RM Sotheby’s is at the Portola Hotel and Spa in downtown Monterey is Friday and Saturday. The line up is absolutely incredible. There are several cars that are once in a lifetime opportunities to see, let alone buy. The auction catalog can be viewed at rmsothebys.com
Bonhams Auction Quail Lodge
Bonhams Auction is at the Quail Lodge on Friday afternoon. The lineup for this auction is very interesting with a great mix of both interesting and very significant cars. Visit Bonhams website to view the cars offered.
Gooding & Co Pebble Beach
Gooding & Co. has their auction on Saturday and Sunday at Pebble Beach. As with every event that Gooding & Co. puts together, the line up of offered cars is fantastic and includes several significant cars. The Gooding auction is always a favorite of mine to attend. Mecum Auction Monterey
Mecum Auctions has been doing a great job of raising their game to bring some great cars to their events at Monterey. 2017 is no exception and their line up is as strong as ever. Russo and Steele Monterey
Russo and Steele has their event right downtown in Monterey at the Fisherman’s Wharf. This auction gets quite a few cars and can create a great buying opportunity due to the other auctions that are running at the same time. This auction runs Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
