I was onsite at the Mecum Auction in Houston, Texas. Mecum Houston is a great venue with several top-level cars. This 1959 Corvette Pro Touring was no exception, finished to a very high standard. These cars have been doing very well over the last few years, and the attention this car got while on display and at the auction stage showed why. The Corvette had all the right components. The LS1 Engine, Corvette Correction Chassis, Automatic Transmission, C4 Suspension and Brakes, Dana 44 Rear End, Incredible Paint, and a fantastic hand-sewn leather interior. I bid on this car for a very good client and was the last man standing at a hammer price of $135,000.
