1982 Lamborghini LP400S Countach
This is a Series 3, and one of the last of the cars equipped with the 4.0L engine. The LP400 Countach’s went through quite a few changes through production. Lamborghini introduced the LP400S In 1978. Lamborghini designed the LP400S with the fiberglass wheel flares, wide wheel and tires, and modern gauges. Additionally, The Series 3 cars also had a higher roofline to increase cabin space. The early Countach’s are becoming quite valuable, and with good cause.
Lamborghini delivered the first production Countach in 1974 as the LP400 and the last Series 3 LP400S was delivered in 1982. Lamborghini produced only 395 total production cars over 9 years including all LP400’s, LP400S’, S1, S2, and S3. The following cars were based on a 5.0L motor.
This example is a good car that has been driven. The car had cosmetic and mechanical needs. My client was successful in closing a deal on the car and is now on deck to be restored to a high standard. Even today, this are a dramatic car to see on the road. This later became a restoration assignment which oversaw in California.
