1982 Lamborghini Countach LP400 Alabama 2014
I traveled to Alabama to inspect this 1982 Lamborghini Countach LP400S. This is a series 3 car, and one of the last of the cars equipped with the 4.0L engine. The LP400 Countach’s went through quite a few changes through production. In 1978, The LP400S was introduced and was the first of the more modern appearing cars. They were equipped with the fiberglass wheel flares, modern gauges, and lastly on the Series 3 Cars, a higher roofline to increase cabin space. The early Countach’s are becoming quite valuable, and with good cause. The first production car was delivered in 1974, and the last Series 3 LP400S was delivered in 1982, and only 395 total production cars were made over 9 years including all LP400’s, LP400S’, S1, S2, and S3. This example is a good car that has been driven. My client was successful in closing a deal on the car and is now on deck to be restored to a high standard. Even today, this are a dramatic car to see on the road. I think I still have the poster that was on the wall of my bedroom in the 70’s.
