This past summer, I traveled up to Long Island, NY to perform a Pre Purchase Inspection on this 1983 Lamborghini Countach LP5000S. This was a great looking car as all Countach’s are. The car was one a several Countach’s that I inspected in 2014. The car was offered at fair money at the time, sold to another party and coming this month will be on the auction block in Scottsdale, AZ. The market on these has been red hot for the last year, and it will be interesting to see what 2015 brings. Note the signature of Valentino Balboni on the rear panel. Valentino was Lamborghini’s chief test driver till 2008.
The Countach has gone through several revisions during its production. The LP5000S was produced from 1982 till 1985 with only 321 cars produced collectively.
