I recently traveled to South Carolina to perform an appraisal on this wonderful 1997 Porsche 993 Carrera S. The car is a low mileage car that has a great set of rare and desirable options. The car is finished in Speed Yellow, which was a $3,000 option, finished with Sport Seats, Limited Slip, Sport Chassis, Motor Sound, Litronic Headlights just to name a few. Porsche made the Carrera S in 1997, covering two model years. US production began in February 1997 and finished in December 1997. It total, approximately 1500 cars were sold in the US market. The Carrera S featured the wide body from the Turbo and C4S, special door sills, special gauges, special brake and shifter handles, a painted twin grill rear spoiler, and 17″ Cup wheels as standard equipment. These have been collectible from the day they were new, and are now like most Porsche’s, bringing some strong money.
