Expert Auto Appraisals performed an inspection on the 2011 Porsche Boxster Spyder in Connecticut. My client had requested an inspection specifically for confirmation of original paint, DME scan, and confirm overall condition. I had actually met my client performing an inspection of his 1972 Porsche 911E in Mercer Island, WA. When this car came available, the specifications met my my clients needs. However, he has discriminating taste, and wanted to confirm paint originality, engine DME statistics, and overall condition. The car was a very nice car with great specification. However, based on factors observed during the inspection, not the car for my client.

Typical points of an inspection performed on a Porsche 987 Boxster Spyder are DME scan and paint measurements. The DME scan can assist in determining hours ran on motor, over rev’s in ranges, and any other open faults. The paint meter measurements can identify paint originality on all panels. Please note the photos below. Specifically the readings below and the DME report showing over rev’s in ranges 4 and 5. Additionally, the paint meter measurements are very high with wide variations on panels. Due to the paint meter reading and DME statistics, additional questions arise. This inspection proved to be invaluable for our client. As always, I collected the information which is important to many in any Porsche buying or bidding decision.
