Expert Auto Appraisals will be onsite at the Mecum Auctions event in Harrisburg, PA. I will be performing pre purchase inspection and appraisal services on any of the cars that will be crossing the block at the Mecum Harrisburg Auction event. The auction runs from July 31st thru August 3rd. Mecum Harrisburg is quickly becoming one of the largest collector car auctions in the country. The lineup has a great assortment of Collections, American Muscle, Classics, and European Sports Cars. For that reason, several great opportunities will be available to bid on. I can provide inspection services on a single or multiple lots. Due to the varying needs and vehicles, our Inspection services are designed to be tailored to the vehicle and our clients specific needs.

Mecum Harrisburg Auction Inspection Services

Expert Auto Appraisals will be performing the most complete inspection that can done at the Mecum Harrisburg auction venue. We can statically inspect all aspects of the vehicle. Also, we can have the owner or auction staff start the vehicle and test basic operations such as running, lighting, gauges, etc. Test driving the vehicles will not be possible due to auction rules. Always provided is a full suite of photos that can include paint meter measurements, engine castings and stampings, transmission castings and stampings, rear axle codes, VIN, trim/ cowl tags, Undercarriage, suspension, finish flaws, brightwork, trim, gauges, interior, and all other areas of the vehicle. On average, over 150 detailed photographs are provided for review. Additionally, an interview the seller, review of any documentation, awards, judging sheets, restoration receipts, etc. that may be with the car.

Furthermore, I have experience performing Pre Purchase Inspections on all types of special interest cars from all manufactures and country of origin. I regularly inspect Porsche, Ferrari, Corvette, Shelby, GM Muscle, Mopar, Ford, Jaguar, and Motorcycles. I have inspected everything from Abarth to Zagato.

Market Value

The inspection service will include a discussion of market value based on current market and the vehicle inspected. This market value guidance comes from regular attendance of most major collector car auctions throughout the country as well as the inspection and valuation of all types of vehicles throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe.

Inspection Pricing

Most single vehicle Pre Purchase inspections at the Mecum auction cost $400. Inspections requiring additional work will be quoted individually. Because many clients are interested in multiple lots, I will be happy to give a discounted quote for any amount of cars that may be considered. I encourage this due to the amount of like cars, any of which may be a great opportunity.

Authorized Bidding Services

We also can assist you onsite with bidding. This can benefit you by saving you 2% off of the buyer commission versus an absentee bidder. Additionally, we can handle transport arrangement, documentation collection, and many other services that can ensure a good bidding experience. The Bid Goes On

The Bid Goes On desk provides a great service at the auction. Negotiating on a lot that has already crossed the block and did not sell can present a great opportunity to work with Mecum’s dedicated staff to make a deal on car at favorable terms.
