I traveled to Denver, Colorado to perform a Pre Purchase Inspection on the 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Split Window Coupe. This car was quickly determined not be what we where hoping to find, but at the time it was the least expensive Split Window on the market. The seller was fair and accurate with the car, but it wasn’t for my client. To prove the strength of the market, the car was immediately relisted and was sold to a dealer within minutes. 1963 Split Window Coupe’s have been very strong over the last two years. They are the first of the 2nd generation Corvette’s and have the one year only feature of the split rear window. This is without question, an iconic American collectible. Only 10,954 Corvette Coupe’s were made in 1963 which was the highest production year of C2 Corvette Coupe’s. The market has been very good to high quality Fuel Injected and 340HP examples.
