1965 Shelby GT350

1965 Shelby GT350 Appraisal Inspection

I made a trip to Iowa with a client to perform an inspection and appraisal on a small collection. The collection included this fantastic 1965 Shelby GT350. The 1965 Shelby GT350 inspection proved this car to be a very good example. My client ultimately purchased the collection in whole. I made a second trip to Iowa to perform an in-depth inspection 1965 Shelby GT350. and perform the authentication of the car. The car turned out to be an outstanding example or an earlier GT350, with the rear mounted battery. This Shelby turned out to be quite a car with all the right and original pieces, all in great condition.

My client placed the car for sale and quickly learned interest for a car of this quality was very high. A European buyer was the one to step up to the plate, and made a deal on this fantastic example. At the time of the sale, the price was at the top of the market. Today, the car would easily top it’s prior sale price. The market on early Shelby cars has been strong overall.

Shelby built only 562 1965 Shelby GT350’s were built, all in Wimbledon White, most with Blue Stripes. The 1965 cars were the most crude and performance specific of the Shelby cars. The early Shelby’s were unique with several features that are specific to 1965. A few of these features were the Magnesium centered Cragar wheels, side exhaust, tach, Blue Dot GoodYear tires, and no rear seats. Take a look at some of the great details on this piece of Shelby history.
